A fab set of 4 mid century Grotto style shell back, fan back wood dining chairs.
French Neoclassical design meets Italian grotto style.

Heavy wood frames with sabor legs support a tall fan back backrest reminiscent of a shell design. Provenance unknown.

A cream or off white original finish is on the wood chairs. It leans to a very light buttery yellow off white color perfect for coastal decorating or even a Southern Florida vibe.

This set consists of 4 dining chairs. The chairs are being sold at a fraction of a set that would be already upholstered however we are guessing that the buyer would want to choose their own new upholstery fabric to fit in with there own design scheme.
Hence, we are selling them in their "as found" state.

The set is being sold as is for reupholstery by your upholsterer.
Original foam seats are still soft yet dense as designed for comfortable seating.
2 seat covers are intact but have some minor surface wear.
2 seat covers show worn through upholstery (see photos.)

One chair has a repair on its underside which looks as if it was designed to strengthen the 4 legs. Your upholsterer can tighten and repair this chair.

The wood frames have some minor surface wear such as light scratches and light worn areas typical with use and age.
